Lounge Seating Area

LIVING & DINING ROOM

A highlight is the double-aspect, through-room combining the living/lounge area and dining room. At 42 square metres, you will really feel the space, light, and air.

The lounge is the perfect place to unwind, with a large sofa and well-stocked library. For entertainment, there is a DVD Player (and stash of Region 2 films), and a flat-screen Android TV (from where you can log-in to your own streaming apps or enjoy our free, house Netflix account).

A benefit of being in the village proper is lightning-fast 2Gb Fibre broadband. There is also a Sonos sound system with free Spotify and 30+ local, terrestrial TV channels (from a high-gain digital antenna).

The lounge is connected to a dining area that can seat up to eight people, ideal for sharing meals with your family or friends.

KITCHEN

The traditional Provençal kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a top-notch oven and dishwasher.

You can enjoy the views of the garden, mountains or the pool by stepping out of the glassed doors which lead on to the veranda.

Whether you want to cook with local ingredients from the nearby markets, or try some of the restaurants in the village, you will have plenty of options to satisfy your taste buds.

AL-FRESCO DINING

French doors from the kitchen give out onto a shaded veranda, framed with jasmine, oleander, and a green-grapevine.

Dining al-fresco really is the thing in summer; perhaps making use of the Weber BBQ. Or in the morning, shaded chairs for your morning coffee.

There are three adjustable awnings for extra shade when needed. And a further side-entrance onto the lounge.

POOL, TERRACE & VIEW

Our lovely terrace is framed by beautiful Mediterranean flowers such as jasmine, oleander, and agapanthus, and fruits like kumquat, olive, figs, pomegranate, and grapes. Feel free to pick your favourites.

A solar-powered shower is a must both before and after your swim in our good-sized (60 m3) infinity pool; which is professionally maintained (once a week) by our pool man.

There is a coffee table and a range of lounging options, including comfortable Lafuma sun loungers and Fatboy 'Rock'n Roll' rocking chairs. Please take care of the large parasol - and it will take care of you!

There is a reason for the name 'Haute Vue'. A fabulous vista takes in the shores of Lac de Saint-Cassien, the Fondurane Biological Reserve, and the Massif de l'Esterel beyond.

LANDSCAPED GARDENS

You'll enjoy the Provençal gardens. Meander stone steps shaded by olive trees, oleander, and oak. Breathe in the fragrance of jerusalem sage, and rosemary. Take in the terraces of lavender, encased by dry stone walls.

Here a table and two chairs for a quiet drink or book reading in the shade. There, a swing for the kids to enjoy. Our gardener visits weekly and a sophisticated irrigation system keeps everything at its best.

CONVENIENT PARKING

As you can see, the carport at the top of the property is a real feature; accommodating as it does two large vehicles; shaded from the sun and protected from the elements.

There is also a further off-road parking space; handy for a large group staying at Haute Vue together... or as a space for visiting guests.

No awkward manoeuvres in and out of steep drives (as is the case with so many other properties in the area).
